J. Bannon interviewed by punkbands.com
Punkbands.com's Jamie Arthurs sat down with J. Bannon in Pittsburgh for a lengthy interview...
"...Originally, this interview was supposed to take place in Baltimore, MD when Converge played the Otto Bar on May 1. Upon arrival at the Otto Bar, I was told that Jake was working on trying to find a place for their show in Philadelphia on Saturday that had been canceled. So I said, let's do the interview after the set. Then during the set, Jake was accidentally kicked in the face by a more than loving fan. So the set ended a bit early and Jake was not in the mood to talk about much of anything. So, 220 miles and twenty-four hours later, in Pittsburgh, we finally got to sit down and talk..."
"The Blood Of Thine Enemies" by J. Bannon 7"EP out now
"The Blood Of Thine Enemies" is the long awaited debut solo recording from J. Bannon (Converge, Supermachiner, etc). "The Blood..." is a minimalist six minute emotional dirge unlike any of his previous musical/artistic efforts. Haunting in it's simplicity, this release foreshadows his anticipated "Wear Your Wounds" album, due out on Deathwish later in 2008.
Meant to be a stand alone piece, "The Blood..." is exclusively available as a one sided 7"EP (w/ a beautifully etched B-side) and will not be included on any other J. Bannon release. Please note that there is no retail release for this 7"EP, the only place you can purchase it is in the DW Estore.
Lastly, a comprehensive J. Bannon site has been launched @ jacobbannon.com. The site is still under construction, but it's alive. Check it out.
Kurt Ballou interviewed @ Ultimateguitar.com

Converge "Thousands Of Miles Between Us" DVD coming soon
We are proud to announce that Converge "Thousands Of Miles Between Us" is now in the planning stages. Their previous DVD, "The Long Road Home" (Deathwish 2003), was one of the first quality punk/hardcore DVD's ever released.
This new project will again raise the bar of what should be expected from music DVD releases. As the title suggests, "Thousands Of Miles Between Us" will document the bands travels across the world, showcasing the best live moments from their touring around the globe. Shows from Europe, Japan, and the U.S. will be featured, some sets even in their entirety. All this along with interviews with band members, crew, and friends who have been part of the bands ongoing touring legacy.
More news on this release will be available as the project progresses.
